Gloria Segoe, a Keta Business Senior High School student, was discovered dead in a manhole in Tomefa, Ga South Municipality, after supposedly taking a leave of absence to visit her grandmother in Agbozome.
According to preliminary findings, Gloria traveled to Accra to visit her boyfriend, not her grandma.DOII Desmond Ackah, the Public Relations Officer for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), acknowledged the occurrence during an interview.
The GNFS reacted to a distress call at 10:02 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, and discovered her lifeless body from the stream at 10:42 p.m., turning it over to police for further investigation.
Gloria's mother confirmed her identity after attending the Police Hospital.
Meanwhile, the deceased's lover has been arrested and is working with authorities, despite his denial of involvement in her death. Investigations continue as officials try to determine the exact reason of this heartbreaking loss.
