Armed robbers shot and killed Emmanuel Kwadwo Obeng, a farmer from Maame Ama near Nsokote in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region.
The sad tragedy took at around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. The deceased, age 50, was shot in the chest and died instantaneously.
Adom News reported that Mr. Obeng and some residents rushed to a nearby village after hearing reports of a robbery. Tragically, he was shot and killed by armed thieves while on his way.
Following the incident, people voiced alarm about the increasing number of robberies in the neighborhood and urged police and appropriate authorities to beef up security.
Akua Baduwuaa, the deceased's wife, revealed that she is crushed by his loss. She is concerned about how she would care for the seven boys and one girl that Mr. Obeng has left behind.
