One person died in an accident at the Bortianor Bus Stop on the Mallam-Kasoa route on Friday, June 20.
The victim, a woman, was attempting to cross the highway when she was hit by a large vehicle with the registration number WR 1475 13.
According to an eyewitness, the truck driver drove off the main road in an attempt to avoid colliding with other vehicles that had stopped to allow pedestrians to cross.
During the process, the truck ran over a woman standing on the median. "The woman did not see because there are no streetlights on this road from Mallam Junction to Kasoa."
