A Nigerian man, allegedly a member of his church's financial committee, has admitted to using a portion of the church's giving to place a wager on Sportybet, which netted him N2 million.
This was revealed in an anonymous tweet made on the popular social media network X (previously Twitter).
According to the man, he succumbed to pressure and used the church's finances to gamble.
Despite winning a large sum of money, he is now plagued with guilt and confusion about his next steps. His anonymous confession adds, "I am a member of my church's finance committee.
Under duress, I used a portion of our church donation to win 2 million naira on Sportybet. I feel bad since it is God's money.
Now, I'm not sure if I should return everything or just relocate to another state and change my number.
