In Indonesia, a 45-year-old man fatally stabbed and killed his 60-year-old neighbor during a heated argument.
According to The Straits Times, the accused, Siregar Asgim Irianto, beat his neighbour, a retired public worker, with a piece of wood after a disagreement about their respective hens.
However, underlying tensions had already been building for some years.
Witnesses said the two men's relationship had deteriorated, particularly due to Irianto's constant questioning about Siregar's single status, which the latter apparently considered disrespectful and annoying.
n the evening of the attack, at 8 p.m., the verbal exchange became violent when Siregar, enraged, grabbed a wooden object and struck Irianto at his home.
The 60-year-old guy attempted to flee but was apprehended in the street, when shocked residents intervened and rushed him to hospital. Unfortunately, Irianto was pronounced dead on the way.
