All schools nationwide will have Friday, March 7, 2025, as a holiday, according to the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The purpose of this decision is to provide students with a "well-deserved break" after they have worked so hard to prepare for the Independence Day events.
Following the holiday, GES stated in a statement that classes will resume on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The school timetable has changed, and parents and guardians are encouraged to make plans appropriately.
The GES apologized for any difficulty the short break may create, emphasizing that it is a crucial step toward ensuring students are well-rested following the hectic period preceding Ghana's 68th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
